Teng Miras
Teng Miras is a mixed media artist whose work explores emotion, memory, and place through texture and material. Working with fabric, layered surfaces, and mixed media, she creates tactile artworks that invite quiet reflection and human connection.

Mental health awareness is a key influence in her practice. Her work reflects moments of stillness, overwhelm, healing, and release, using abstraction to express feelings that are often difficult to articulate. Through texture, repetition, and process, the act of making becomes both expressive and grounding. At the core of her practice is an emphasis on recycling and intentional creation. Discarded fabrics and leftover materials are reworked into textured compositions, transforming what was once unused into something meaningful. This approach reflects a belief that art can be both expressive and responsible.

Rooted in abstract contemporary design, her work often takes the form of painted, minimalist, stitched textile pieces. Built through layering, stitching, and painting, each work develops a quiet depth that can be both seen and felt. The process reflects lived experience, uneven, heavy, soft, or restrained, while remaining open to interpretation.
