The third lecture in Digital Art: Ideas, Histories, Personalities explores representations of the body in digital art, from technologically mediated performance and dance to robotic art, bodily extension, avatars, and virtual identities. Examples include the work of Stelarc, whose practice investigates the relationship between the human body and technology.
The lecture also examines the emergence of cyberfeminism and its critical perspectives on technology, gender, identity, and embodiment.
