This program introduces young children to masterpiece artworks from across different eras and offering opportunities for experimentation and self-expression. Each meeting combines discovering iconic artworks with interactive art making.

Designed for children ages 4–6 accompanied by an adult.

Young Creatives

Designed for children aged 7–12, this program brings together art history, gallery experience, and art making. Guided by a practicing artist, children explore different artistic mediums and movements through creative experiments, drawing inspiration from both celebrated masterpieces and our current contemporary art exhibitions.

Ways of Art

Through a series of expert meetups, studio visits, and workshops, this program offers teenagers a broad view of the art world and helps them discover their own paths within culture and the creative industries.

Each session introduces a different creative field, from illustration and architecture to curating and beyond. Participants discover what these careers look like in practice, meet professionals working in the field, and explore different pathways into the art and creative industries, including steps they can start taking today.

Designed for children aged 13 - 17 years old.

Art: Craft, Context & Meaning

This program explores key turning points in art history, examining how historical shifts, philosophy, and scientific discoveries gave rise to new visual languages. Through open discussions and guided creative practice in our gallery space, participants gain a deeper understanding of major art movements while experimenting directly with different techniques and mediums to develop their own works.

About

Katya Makarova is an artist, illustrator, and educator. She holds a degree in Fine Arts Education from the Moscow State Academic Art College in Memory of 1905 and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the Surikov Art Institute in Moscow (MGAHI). She has created and led educational programs at the Makhlovka Art Studio and the State Tretyakov Gallery (New Tretyakov). Her artwork has been featured in various exhibitions, including exhibitions at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, the Grand Palace in Tsaritsyno, the Tretyakov Gallery, and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. As an illustrator, she collaborates with publishing houses, museums, game studios, and brands worldwide.
