Art: Craft, Context & Meaning explores key turning points in art history, examining how historical shifts, philosophy, and scientific discoveries gave rise to new visual languages.
Expressionism is much more than Edvard Munch’s The Scream. From Franz Marc’s vividly coloured animals to Wassily Kandinsky’s experiments with form and abstraction, Expressionist artists moved away from simply depicting the visible world, using art instead to express emotion, sensation, and inner experience.
In this session, participants will explore how the Expressionists experienced and interpreted the world, connect with their own emotions, and translate them onto paper through hands-on artistic practice.
For participants aged 16+.
Places are limited, advance registration is essential.
